Samarthanam Trust continues its Health Kit Distribution as part of COVID Relief Service Campaign

Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled is gearing up with its COVID Relief Services reaching out to people with disabilities, senior citizens, economically poor sections, hospitals, and emergency service personnel. The Bengaluru based Non-Profit The organization initiated Health Kit Distribution service to Hospitals and doctors ensuring their safety amid the COVID control activities. A Health Kit Distribution program was organized at Molakalmuru Government Hospital and launched by Shri B Sriramulu, MLA, Govt of Karnataka and Shri Mahantesh GK, Founder Managing Trustee of Samarthanam on Saturday, May 23, 2020.

Samarthanam Trust initiated the Relief Services in the wake of the COVID19 pandemic outbreak in India, which has crippled the livelihood of many people from weaker sections and the disabled. The organization has been distributing Relief Kits with basic necessities for the sustenance of poor and marginalized.

At the next level, like the hospitals, doctors, nurses, and emergency services are working round the clock relentlessly attending to the sick and ailing, Samarthanam’s team has come together to offer support in the form of Health Kits. These Kits comprises of PPE, 3 Ply face masks, Nitrile Gloves, Tamiflu tablets, Sanitizer, N95 masks. Till date, Hospitals across Bengaluru and Mysuru have received Health Kits worth Rs.30 lakhs, distributed by Samarthanam’s team. Further, Samarthanam, with the help of support partners, aims to distribute Health Kits worth Rs 1 crore.

As part of the Health Kit distribution activity at Molakalmuru Government Hospital, Chitradurga district Samarthanam’s team delivered Health Kits worth Rs 15 lakhs.

Samarthanam extends a helping hand to the brave medical personnel across the State who have been combating the Coronavirus and containing the spread of the infection. As the organization distributes the Health Kits we hope the equipment will prove to be beneficial to the medical professionals and aid in their self-care. As we all follow the rules of staying home, social distancing, and proper hygiene, we look forward to witnessing a COVID free nation soon.
