IndusInd Bank’s CSR Programmes in Sports are founded on the pillars of inclusion and sporting excellence. The IndusInd Blind Cricket Programme is one such programme that embodies this philosophy, and has been a driver in our association with Samarthanam since 2016. Our partnership with Samarthanam has grown from strength to strength over the years, and knowing that this programme now makes a difference in the lives of 700 visually impaired athletes (including 300 women) is extremely gratifying. In addition, knowing that our support has gone a long way in helping the Indian Blind Cricket team win so many laurels for the country fills us with a sense of pride and achievement. We look forward to many such inspiring stories and laurels for the country as we continue strengthening our partnership with Samarthanam in the future.
Barclays is building an inclusive and equitable culture and we look at direct engagement opportunities with the communities where we live and work. It’s heartening to see the pioneering work done by Samarthanam is leveling the playing field for persons with disabilities and enabling them to achieve their full potential. An often-overlooked group of talented individuals, persons with disabilities are hugely underrepresented. As Samarthanam strides forward, making the most of the exceptional talents that persons with disabilities and health conditions can bring, we wish the team continued success in creating better ways of ensuring that people with all abilities succeed, excel and grow.
Customers, Community and planet are an integral part of our core purpose here at Tesco. We were looking for a CSR partner which shared a similar ethos and had the network and expertise to impact a large scale change in how waste management was dealt with in Bangalore. In Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, we found a unique partner. They are a group of dedicated and enthusiastic individuals, always ready to explore and take on a challenge. Their commitment to the cause is a mark of passion and expertise. Tesco – Samarthanam partnership for Project ReWare, establishes multi-stakeholder partnerships with BBMP, DWCC, waste workers and residents to help 75,000 households become change agents of practicing appropriate methods of waste management. We are one step closer to serving our customers, colleagues and planet a little better every day.
United Way Mumbai is proud of its partnership with Samarthanam Trust. Teams at both the organisations have worked in collaboration across the length and breadth of the country on multiple community challenges. May it be strengthening public health infrastructure as part of the Fight against Covid-19, helping women entrepreneurs in communities, or initiatives for the betterment of education, we have found a Samarthanam trust to be a strong, reliable partner. Our campaign for facilitating Covid-19 vaccinations in multiple states with the Samarthanam team at the forefront has been a true testament to their capabilities. I wish success to the team in their future endeavors.
We at NTT DATA are committed to sustainable development, championing diversity, and leveraging technology for pursuing the social good. Samarthanam’s vision to support inclusive society and education for all resonates strongly with us at NTT DATA. Over the past years we have supported various initiatives led by Samarthanam that are aligned towards the betterment of local communities that we live and operate in. Some of our past projects included, supporting infrastructure development at a local school in Kudlu for underserved communities, enabling smart classrooms for students at Samarthanam High School in Hulimavu, providing lift facility and organic waste composting machine for the HSR layout campus, solar power grid at J.P Nagar campus, enabling the art and culture centre for the disabled in HSR layout and more. The passion that Samarthanam and its team members have for the community is unparalleled. Given their strong ties with the community, Samarthanam has a strong pulse on their needs and is able to initiate projects that will drive maximum impact. Samarthanam is also in complete sync with the needs of corporates to follow due process on CSR giving, which makes them a natural partner of choice for us. So much so that we at NTT DATA look at Samarthanam not just as an NGO but as extended members of our CSR team. Samarthanam has done an outstanding job in helping us realize the vision of driving a socially responsible ecosystem by engaging our employees and our clients in the CSR program. We at NTT DATA, are looking forward to our upcoming project with Samarthanam supporting the training program for the visually impaired team who will represent India in the T20 Cricket World Cup for the Blind 2022. On behalf of NTT DATA, I would extend my sincere gratitude to the entire team at Samarthanam who make giving back rewarding.
Otis India has partnered with Samarthanam Trust over the years. It has been gratifying to see how the lives of so many visually and physically challenged youth have been positively impacted, propelling them to gain employment. Often it is necessary to supplement their basic education with other soft skills which places confident and well-rounded young women and men into the workforce. We are proud to be part of such a nation building imperative. Moving ahead we are looking forward to collaborating with Samarthanam Trust on Otis’ STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Maths) initiatives, as we set up mini science centers across schools. Through this program we are looking to spark an early, lifelong interest in STEM and ignite young minds to pursue solutions to make the world a better connected place.”
