\nThe Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) organized the National Action Plan (NAP) for Skill Development of Persons with Disabilities on 4th May 2023.
\nThe Stakeholder Consultation is a national-Level event that focused on cross-cutting themes related to the challenges faced in skilling persons with disabilities across categories, best practices in skilling and employment, and developing employability skills and job readiness frameworks. Senior leadership from diverse sectors graced the event and exchanged innovative scalable methods, developed strategic solutions, and committed to multilateral collaborations that can enhance the skilling and employment of persons with disabilities.
\nDr Mahantesh G Kivadasannavar, the founder and managing trustee of Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, moderated a panel during the event. Among the attendees were Mr. Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary DEPwD, Mr S.K. Mahto, Deputy Secretary, and Mr. Chandrashekhar who heads Skilling and Employment at Samarthanam. Also in attendance were Mr. Einstein and Mr. Sanju, who was not only a panelist from Delhi-Samarthanam but also skilled from and currently employed at Samarthanam-Delhi.\n<\/div>\n
