We joined hands with CITI to implement the same and I am happy to see its success today. I am greatly thankful to Virendra  Sehwag for being a part of the convocation and his words of advice as it means a lot of encouragement to all of us. I wish all of them the very best.”

Debasis Ghosh, Public Affairs Officer, Citi India, said, “Project Amita was selected by Citi Foundation as one of its six partner recipients of the 2016 India Innovation Grant Program, given Samarthanam’s ability to foster an open-minded culture that practices dignity for all. Project Amita is well designed to empower youth with special needs to ensure their presence, talents and capabilities are not lost but, rather, valued in the communities we live in, particularly at this stage of India’s inclusive development. We take pride in this partnership that is focused on imparting life skills training to more than 600 individuals, and is in line with the Government’s mission to ensure that persons with special needs enjoy their rights equally with others, under the ‘The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016’‎.”

Promising us his complete support Virendra Sehwag stated, “I am amazed to see the work that Samarthanam is doing to ensure that all people with disabilities become contributing members of society. When all of you become tax payers of this country, India will reach new heights’.
