Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled celebrating its 25th Year of Service to people with Disabilities, kick-started its program by launching the Silver Jubilee Logo on 24th Feb 2022.
The Logo was launched by Shri Jagadish Shettar, Honorable MLA Hubli Central, Former Chief Minister, Government of Karnataka and Shri H.SGopinath Reddy, Hon’ble MLC, Vidhan Parishath, Bangalore City Constituency, and Dr. Mahantesh G. Kivadasannavar at the HSR Office of Samarthanam Trust.
Speaking at the function Shri Jagadish Shettar said Samarthanam is the finest example in rendering yeomen service for the past 25 years to the disabled and underprivileged. Samarthanam reminds us that the efficiency of the Disabled can never be undermined and this I could witness in their service to People with Disabilities. I am mightily happy that I had the opportunity to help Samarthanam in my former days”
Shri H.S Gopinath Reddy, Hon’ble MLC Vidhan Parishath, Blore Constituency said that Samarthanam has played a great role in influencing Society positively through its work and the organization and the Founder are role models not only for the Disabled Community but for all.
Dr. Mahantesh G. Kivadasannavar said” Samarthanam in 25 years has done its best, but we have miles to go to work towards Disability Inclusion and Empowerment and much more towards the Society, where persons with disabilities become contributing members living with dignity and respect”
Assistive Devices like Wheel Chairs, Water Beds, Artificial Limbs were also distributed to the Physically Challenged by the Chief Guests.
Samarthanam Trust has been working to empower the visually impaired, disabled, and underprivileged people in India. Samarthanam’s future endeavors are directed towards making Education digital and smart through its tinkering labs, and SMART Classrooms, making Railway Stations accessible for the Disabled, developing and nurturing Assistive Technology to create a positive impact in the lives of Persons with Disability.
