Samarthanam Reforms Education through Digitisation
Samarthanam, a National Award-winning NGO established in 1997, stands triumphantly to be a complete solution provider by supporting education and livelihood needs of persons with disabilities and under privileged. Samarthanam has been able to take education to the remotest part of the country through technology, for enhancing inclusive growth in improving the quality of Education through Digitisation, STEM Education, Tinkering lab across 200 plus Government schools benefiting approximately 1,00,000 plus kids PAN India.
Samarthanam’s Smart Class room to promote Digital literacy in Government School with the support from DXC Technology– a Tech-enabled CSR initiative was inaugurated on Tuesday, September 7th 2021 at 9 am by Shri B.C.Nagesh, Hon’ble Minister for Primary & Secondary Education, GoK, Shri Omkar G. Rao, Director Service Delivery DXC Technology, in the presence of Shri Satish Reddy MLA Bommanahalli Constituency, Shri S. Rajendra Deputy Director of Public Instruction, at Karnataka Public School Agara in HSR Layout. Samarthanam has Smart Class rooms spread pan India in 8 States and 125 schools supported by DXC Technology.
Speaking at the function, Shri B.C. Nagesh, Hon’ble Minister for Primary &Secondary Education, GoK said “Education has to be value based and holistic, which enhances academic attainment, and develops students’ social and relationship skills that last throughout their lives. He urged the students to learn and live with Covid, by adopting Covid behaviour”
Talking about this initiative Dr Mahantesh G. This broad based initiative provides early exposure and access to technology to facilitate advanced education to Students in Schools. The main aim of the project supported by DXC Technology is to promote quality education among marginalized rural and migrant urban children through digital literacy, by reducing the dropout rate and reskilling the Govt. School teachers through appropriate guidance and support.
