International Day of Persons with Disabilities

On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, with the support of Optum India, distributed 50 tri-motorcycles and 150 assistive devices to empower the disability community in Bangalore. This initiative will help beneficiaries manage their daily activities with more independence and dignity. The event was graced by Dr. Mahantesh G. Gopala Krishna, IAS, Commissioner of Labour; Mr. Das Suryavanshi, State Commissioner for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities; and Mr. Nagaraj, MLC, Chairman, Privileges Committee, Karnataka Legislative Council.
