ICU-on-Wheels flagged off by Samarthanam, in association with L&T Technology Services

Bengaluru, June 25, 2021: To support India to overcome the second outbreak of COVID, Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, in association with L&T Technology Services (LTTS) are working to help the Disabled and underserved Communities who have been impacted. Together, they launched free 24×7 ICU-on-wheels, an Ambulance service in Bengaluru (India), to assist the COVID affected on urgent basis.
The round-the-clock, high-end Ambulance is well-equipped with medical necessities such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, defibrillators, oxygen cylinders, emergency kit, other critical care life-saving equipment and medication.The initiative was flagged off by Mr. Sudip Banerjee, Chairman CSR Committee & Independent Director, L&T Technology Services on 25th June 2021 in Bengaluru. The event was presided over by Mr. Abhishek, Chief Operating Officer and Member of the Board, L&T Technology Services.
Samarthanam task force, Trustees, employees, and management were present during the flag-off. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mahantesh GK, Founder Managing Trustee of Samarthanam said, “I am saddened at the loss India is facing due to the Corona crisis.

We have lost many people dear to us and I believe that our emergency medical service vehicle is going to help those who need emergency COVID care. L&T Technology has been supporting our initiatives for a long time and I am glad that we have partnered with them for this noble initiative. I look forward to recuperating from the pandemic very soon.” He also urged people to wear masks and get vaccinated to stay safe.

Mr. Abhishek, COO and Member of the Board, L&T Technology Services said, “The pandemic has laid bare existing vulnerabilities across the world and it is the people who require emergency support who are most at risk. At LTTS, our mission is to empower the impacted sections of society with timely assistance and much needed resources. We are hopeful that this 24/7 ICU-on-wheels will help bring relief to all those who are in urgent need of medical support. LTTS along with Samarthanam Trust, is fully committed to complement the efforts of the Government and provide a fast and efficient response to those who need help the most”. Samarthanam Trust is at the forefront in offering services to the society during critical times. Since the COVID pandemic outbreak more than a year ago, the organization reached out to more than 100,000 people in need. Dry ration, food packets, PPE, Health kits, RtPCR, Masks, Sanitizers, ICU Beds and other medical needs were given away to people in dire need across the country. The recent vaccination awareness camps are helping people overcome the myths surrounding vaccination and move towards immunization.
