Distribution of Health and Hygiene Kits to Asha Workers in DC Office, Mysuru under Oracle CSR initiative

Distribution of health and hygiene kits to 36000 ASHA workers across Karnataka is an initiative of Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled supported by Oracle under its CSR programme. 17th March saw Health kits distribution in Shivamogga at 12.30 pm in DC Office .

Mr. Sivakumar, IAS, DC, Shivamogga was the chief Guest, Capt. Ajith Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Excise, was the Guest of Honour, and Dr. Rajesh Suragihalli was the Guest.

The Relief kits will prove to be beneficial to the ASHA Workers and aid in their self-care.

Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled is a non-profit organization that is engaged in empowering persons with disabilities and those in distress in socio-economic-cultural fronts. Its diverse initiatives cover Education, Livelihood, Environment, Health & Nutrition, Sports, Culture and Rehabilitation, catering to people in need at every level. By 2030, Samarthanam aims to touch at least 1,000,000 lives with disabilities, creating a positive impact.

The CoViD-19 as a threat to human existence has taken away thousands of lives and livelihoods across the world and we are aware that a large number of people have been infected in India. Samarthanam has been supporting and initiating Relief Services to people with disabilities, senior citizens, economically poor sections, Hospitals, Police, Front-line warriors and emergency service personnel across many cities of India.

The ambitious program, of Distribution of health and hygiene kits to 36000 ASHA workers across is an initiative of Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled supported by Oracle under its CSR programme. Samarthanam plans to distribute health and hygiene kits to thirty-six thousand ASHA workers across Karnataka, who are the front line COVID-19 warriors during this pandemic

The Relief kits consist of the following:

  • Nitrile Hand gloves (Pack of 100 Nos)
  • Masks N-95
  • Face shields
  • Sanitizers (2*100ml)
  • Sanitary pads

The Relief kits will prove to be beneficial to the ASHA Workers and aid in their self-care, as we all follow the rules of staying at home, social distancing, and proper hygiene to look forward to witnessing a COVID free nation soon.
