Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled is proud to expand its footprint with a new facility in Ballari, Karnataka, adding to our existing 16 centres across India. Driven by the vision of our Founder Managing Trustee, Dr. Mahantesh G. Kivadasannavar, we are committed to empowering people with disabilities to become self-reliant, contributing members of society, rather than dole recipients.
Ballari, a tier-2 city with limited connectivity and opportunities, presents unique challenges, especially for the disabled. With our new facility, we aim to bridge the gap in education and employment opportunities for the disabled and underserved, creating a pathway for a brighter, more inclusive future.
The upcoming facility in Ballari aims to empower individuals with disabilities through comprehensive education and employment opportunities. Designed as a Ground + 4 storey building, it will be fully equipped with state-of-the-art, disability-friendly infrastructure. The facility will focus on seven key areas: Education, Sports, Music and Culture, Livelihood Resource Centres, Health and Nutrition, Environment, and Technology.
With over 27 years of experience, Samarthanam continues to deliver on its mission of uplifting the disabled and underserved, providing them with the tools to become self-reliant and lead fulfilling lives.

Samarthanam’s new facility will empower the disabled by providing access to education and employment in this underdeveloped region.
With no major NGO actively working for the empowerment of the disabled in Ballari, the region remains largely hidden from the world’s attention. This gap in social services leaves many disabled individuals without the support they need to thrive. Samarthanam is stepping in to change this narrative—bringing education, employment, and empowerment opportunities to an underserved region that has long been neglected. Our new facility aims to be a beacon of hope, breaking the silence and transforming lives where no one else has ventured.
