Premiere screening of “Dekh Le! India”

Samarthanam was proud to host the premiere screening of “Dekh Le! India” on June 27th, 2025, at the Samarthanam Art Centre in HSR Layout, Bengaluru. This inspiring documentary captures the incredible journey of the Indian Blind Women’s Cricket Team, women who have broken barriers with their passion, discipline, and unwavering spirit.

Directed and produced by Mukund Moorthy and Shanthi Mohan, in collaboration with Samarthanam Trust and the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI), the film offers a heartfelt glimpse into the lives of these athletes as they prepare for the world’s first-ever T20 Blind Women’s Cricket World Cup scheduled for November 2025.

The event was made even more special by the presence of celebrated Hindi film director Mr. Santhosh K Mishra, whose support reinforced the importance of mainstream attention for stories of inclusion and empowerment.

At Samarthanam, we believe that every story deserves a stage—and every achievement deserves a spotlight. Hosting this premiere was not just about showcasing a film, but about amplifying the voices of our women cricketers and inspiring action, awareness, and inclusion.

We extend our heartfelt wishes to Mukund and Shanthi and hope that “Dekh Le! India” travels far and wide, winning accolades, touching hearts, and perhaps even finding its way to the Oscars. We look forward to this visibility bringing enhanced recognition, awards, job opportunities, and broader community support for these extraordinary athletes.

This is more than a documentary. It’s a movement. And Samarthanam is proud to be a part of it.
