Public Library inaugurated at HSR Samarthanam
An open for all Public library was inaugurated today by MLA Sathish Reddy at Samarthanam, HSR Layout premises in Bangalore along with Mahantesh G K, Founder and Managing Trustee of Samarthanam and Dr. Satish Kumar S. Hosamani, Director, Public Library Karnataka. The inaugurated Public Library is completely accessible and inclusive enabling people with disabilities completely to utilize the facility.
During his speech, Mr. Sathish Reddy invited the citizens of HSR Layout to make use of this public library and develop the habit of reading. He also extended his complete support to Samarthanam and the Library.
Mahantesh GK, Founder and Managing Trustee Samarthanam urged Karnataka Government to make all the libraries accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities similar to the HSR layout one. He stated, “I am an ardent reader and I want every one to develop the habit of reading and make books your best friends.”
Dr. Satish Kumar S. Hosamani, Director, Public Library Karnataka State congratulated Mahantesh G K for his achievement and he promised to make all the libraries in Karnataka accessible to people with disabilities.
Dr . P .V Konnur, President of LIS Academy Bangalore said that each and every person should make reading books a routine. He said, “Reading books increases knowledge and makes us focus better. I am very glad the way the Public Library has been conceptualized by people at Samarthanam who worked together with library department for this ideal initiative.”
Shudra srinivas, Literati and Member of the Library Authority said, “The idea is a wonderful one and I congratulate Mahantesh GK for the concept. It certainly would help many people start with the habit of reading.”
S. S Kivadasannavar, President, Lawyer Association Belgaum also congratulated Mahantesh for the concept. He said, “Mahantesh has reached this level because he reads books voraciously. Reading has changed his life and it led to Mahantesh conceptualizing Samarthanam, which has changed the lives of many more people around him.” He completed bangaloreans for empowering Mahantesh and helped him in bulding samarthanam
Mrs. CS Purnima, Deputy Director, Public Library Karnataka State, as part of Vote of Thanks, thanked Samarthanam for providing the facilities to opening the library and requested everyone, including students of Samarthanam, to make use of the facilities.
