Project ENABLE BALLARI

Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled is set to expand its footprint with a new facility in Ballari, Karnataka. Under the visionary leadership of Founder Managing Trustee, Dr. Mahantesh G. Kivadasannavar, this centre will be dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities, fostering their journey toward self-reliance and active contributions to society. Here, the focus is on building capabilities and creating opportunities, moving beyond conventional support to truly transformational empowerment.

Ballari, a tier-2 city with limited connectivity and opportunities, presents unique challenges, especially for persons with disabilities(PwDs). With our new facility, we aim to bridge the gap in education and employment opportunities for people with disabilities and the underserved, creating a pathway toward a brighter, more inclusive future.

The upcoming facility in Ballari is thoughtfully designed to empower individuals with disabilities by offering access to comprehensive education and employment opportunities. This Ground + 4 storey building will feature state-of-the-art, disability-friendly infrastructure, carefully tailored to meet diverse needs. With a focus on seven key areas—Education, Sports, Music and Culture, Livelihood Resource Centres, Health and Nutrition, Environment, and Technology—the facility aims to foster growth and inclusion, providing a supportive space for individuals to thrive.

80% of the Rural Population has Limited access to education and employment opportunities, especially the disabled.

Samarthanam’s new facility will empower the disabled by providing access to education and employment in this underdeveloped region.

With no major NGO actively working for the empowerment of the disabled in Ballari, the region remains largely hidden from the world’s attention. This gap in social services leaves many disabled individuals without the support they need to thrive. Samarthanam is stepping in to change this narrative—bringing education, employment, and empowerment opportunities to an underserved region that has long been neglected. Our new facility aims to be a beacon of hope, breaking the silence and transforming lives where no one else has ventured.
