Wayanad Floods
In the early hours of 30 July 2024, multiple landslides occurred at Mundakkai, Chooralmala, and Meppadi villages of Wayanad district, Kerala, India. Torrential rains triggered the collapse of hillsides, resulting in massive torrents of mud, water, and boulders cascading down onto the area. With at least 330 deaths reported, over 200 injuries, and more than 295+ still missing, the landslides marked one of the deadliest natural disasters in Kerala’s history.

Samarthanam, in an effort to help the people affected by the recent landslides, is supporting the affected families with a Rapid Response Relief kit.

RAPID RESPONSE RELIEF KIT
Samarthanam has put together certain essentials in a RAPID RESPONSE RELIEF KIT which will be distributed across the city of Mundakkai, Chooralmala, and Meppadi villages of Wayanad district, Kerala in effected area.
The essentials kit will have food grains and Hygiene material that will serve a family of 4 for a month.
Samarthanam Expertise – Samarthanam has supported flood relief in Hyderabad, West Bengal, Bhubaneswar, and Northern parts of Karnataka in the recent past through its centers and disaster management teams, currently work is underway in Wayanad. Samarthanam has a physical center in Kerala
The Kit shall cost INR 5400/- for 1 month (Including sorting, packing & distribution management cost)
