We, the Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, stand united on this World Mental Health Day
We, the Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, stand united on this World Mental Health Day, October 10th, to amplify the importance of mental health. In collaboration with Mpower – An initiative of Aditya Birla Education Trust, and alongside some of the biggest brands, we pledge our commitment to furthering the cause of mental health awareness and support.
As an organization dedicated to the well-being of our beneficiaries, we understand the crucial role mental health plays in one’s overall quality of life. We commit to:
1. Promote Mental Health Awareness: We pledge to raise awareness about mental health issues, breaking the stigma surrounding them, and advocating for mental well-being.
2 Provide Support and Resources: We pledge to ensure that individuals with disabilities have access to the mental health support and resources they need, addressing their unique challenges.
3. Strengthen Mental Health Advocacy: We pledge to be an even stronger beacon of inclusivity and will further our commitment to mental health advocacy, ensuring that mental health is treated with the same importance as physical health, and that no one is left behind.
4. Engage in Mental Health Conversations: We pledge to actively participate in conversations about mental health, encouraging open dialogue and understanding to drive positive change.
By taking this pledge, we commit to making a difference in the lives of our beneficiaries, their families, our staff and our communities by championing mental health as an essential component of well-being.
We look forward to joining hands with Mpower, other esteemed organizations, and individuals from all walks of life to create a society where mental health is understood, respected, and supported.
